Principal's Foreword

RBAI will celebrate 200 years of excellence throughout our 2010 Bicentenary year.  Founded in 1810, RBAI has consistently enabled boys to achieve excellence in the academic and extra-curricular areas of school and its wider community.  I hope you will enjoy our planned programme for the year of special events, including the Lecture Series, Principal’s Ball, Waterfront Hall Concert, the Gala Dinner, Founders Day and Sports Day at Shaw’s Bridge; all details of which are on the website.

In addition to keeping you informed of the Bicentenary, the website will give you a detailed account of the rich and diverse range of opportunities available to each young person throughout his school career.

RBAI is committed to valuing the individual pupil and to provide every opportunity for each young person to achieve his potential in a stimulating and progressive environment.  The School's reputation for excellence and outstanding achievement, in and out of the classroom, is well deserved, but never taken for granted.  The success of our pupils is a reflection of the professionalism of the teaching and non-teaching staff; the support from the Governors and wider community; and the self discipline, motivation and determination of the boys.  There are high expectations in all areas of school life, which are balanced with pastoral support, an emphasis on self-discipline and a shared sense of commitment to achieve.

RBAI offers boys every opportunity to participate and to achieve his potential; the more he puts in, the more he will get from RBAI.

Do please contact the School if you have any questions or if you would like any further information.

"Participation and Excellence"
