'Ride 24' Challenge

br22 thumbCongratulations to our RBAI teaching colleagues Innes Gray (Head of Geography) and Roger Wilson (Head of ICT) who completed the ‘Ride 24’ challenge on 20/21 August 2016.

They set off at 10.30am on Saturday morning. The 315 mile ride to London was broken into 7 stages with 6 stops for food etc. It's over the Tyne past the Angel of the North and on to the Yorkshire Hills, through York down to the Humber, then historic Lincoln and the welcome flat lands of the East beyond.

RBAI Hockey Olympians heading to Rio!

Rio thumbWe are delighted to announce the selection of four of our former pupils onto the Olympic hockey squads for Rio 2016. Mark Gleghorne (leaver 2003) has been selected to represent GB whilst Paul Gleghorne, Michael Watt and John Jackson (all leavers in 2005) have been selected to represent Ireland.

First Minister Recognises RBAI’s VC Winner

FM thumbThe contribution of Instonians to the Great War has been recognised by First Minister, Arlene Foster MLA, during the launch of a new Ulster-Scots Agency project.  To launch the project, the First Minister welcomed students and teachers from RBAI and Campbell College to Parliament Buildings, Stormont, where she presented them each with a pair of framed posters
