On the 23rd November we will gather to celebrate 200 years of education at Inst. The Service of Thanksgiving will begin at 3pm in Assembly Buildings, 2-4 Fisherwick Place and refreshments will be served in the School Dining Hall afterwards. Staff, pupils, parents and the wider Inst community are all invited and we hope to welcome as many people as possible to this unique event which will be led by Mr Bolton, the choir and orchestra.
The latest work of legendary Vice Principal Brian Todd, Inst and Instonians at War, 1914 – 1918, will be available just before the annual Remembrance Ceremony which takes place on Tuesday 11/11/14 at 11.25 am. The dining hall will be open for refreshments from 10.45am and copies of the book, priced at £45, will be sold then.

Dr Stephen Farry, Minister of Employment and Learning addressed ASCL on the second day of the conference, focusing on the role of employers in careers education in schools. The focus on raising standards considered the various measures of value added in schools.
