Congratulations Medallion Squad!

Medallion Final v WallacethumbCongratulations to the Medallion squad, their coaches and supporters; the jubilant team won their final today against Wallace at a stormy Ravenhill with a final scoreline of 13-5 to the Inst men. This is a promising start to a fortnight of nail-biting rugby, the climax of which will be on St. Patrick's Day when the 1st XV also meet Wallace in the final of the Schools' Cup. Staff, pupils and supporters wish all the teams playing over the coming days the best of luck as they contest their respective matches. For further information about individual fixtures please see the Rugby Roundup on the Sports News page of the website.

Spring Concert Poster 2015 thumbSpring Concert: 7.30pm Thurs 19th and Fri 20th March in the Common Hall. Tickets £5/£3.50.

The Spring Concert is always one of the highlights of the school calendar. Come to this year’s event and hear the Orchestra rise to the challenge of Mussorgsky’s mighty “Pictures at an Exhibition”, the Choir explore the vast emotional landscape that is Brahms’ “Behold all flesh is as the grass” (from the German Requiem), and -   after a rousing set from the Jazz Band and an impressive array of soloists - a grand finale featuring huge choral and orchestral arrangements based on songs by Dire Straits and The Police.

Open Day 2015

IMG 7125thumb"I just want to express my thanks as a parent of a primary 7 pupil for the excellent open day on Saturday, for all the work the pupils, teachers and support staff put in. We had a school in mind for our son, however Inst completely blew our choice out of the water, we are now anxiously awaiting the AQE results to see if our son qualifies for your school."

Just one of many comments received after a particularly busy Open Morning, this parent's kind acknowledgement is just one of the rewards for an extremely enjoyable morning. The bitterly cold January weather didn't discourage prospective pupils and their parents from visiting Inst; more than 550 boys came through the Soane building and were warmly welcomed into the heart of the Inst community. The morning was as successful as ever with guests, pupils and staff enjoying themselves equally.
