Fencing Club: Public Schools’ Fencing Championships

Congratulations to the fencers who competed at the Public Schools’ Fencing Championships at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London.

On Tuesday 17th March, eleven pupils along with Miss Lamrock and fencing coach Katie Arup, set off to London for the three day School trip. On the first day the RBAI party had some time to shop in Covent Garden and they also visited The Shard. The next day began with an early train ride to the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre for the Public Schools’ Fencing Championships.

In the Junior Foil event Paul Verdon, Theo Millar and Ben Sloan finished in the top 16 (out of 103 competitors in this category).

The rest of the boys were reasonably well placed in the face of very strong competition from many of the large English school clubs.

Well done to all boys involved!
