New Scholarship Programme Now Open

The Principal, Janet Williamson M.A.(Oxon), this week formally launched the new Scholarship and Exhibition Programme which will reward excellence and outstanding ability across a range of disciplines.

The programme incorporates 8 Scholarships and 7 Exhibitions for our most talented academics, sportsmen and performing artists. Scholars will be entitled to full relief of fees and upto a £500 award to enable to them to develop in their discipline, while those in receipt of exhibitions will receive a cash award of up to £500 towards their development.

The first Scholarships to be awarded were Academic Admissions Scholarships for the two boys joining RBAI from Millennium Integrated Primary and Inchmarlo in September 2015, who achieved the highest scores in this years AQE exams.

The remainder of the Scholarships and Exhibitions are now open for applications, before the closing date of Friday 9 October 2015.

The Principal commented ‘Whilst upholding Inst’s traditions and ethos, recipients will also play an important role in inspiring their younger peers.’

Scholars will follow in the footsteps of recent leavers including Alastair Herron, who achieve 7A*’s at A2 and is currently studying Chemistry at Stanford University, Michael Watt, who recently picked up his 150th cap playing hockey for Ireland, and Courtney Lewis, currently Music Director for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra & Assistant Conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
