The Annual Careers Convention was held on Tuesday 1st March. In attendance were representatives from over seventy companies and institutions, including universities and Further Education Colleges. The Convention provided an invaluable opportunity for pupils and their parents to avail of specialist information and advice at a crucial stage in the decision making process when boys are making choices about careers, courses and apprenticeships.
The evening was a great success with record numbers of students and their parents availing of the opportunity of tailored careers advice. The evening was a testament to the hard work of Mr O’Neill, Head of Careers, and the rest of the careers staff. Thanks also to Gordon Parkes and his team at NIE, Harry Ritchie and the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at QUB who brought along the DeLorean to give RBAI students a taste of what’s on offer in their faculty.
