Having been delayed for two hours at the airport, we finally arrived at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge to attend the Northern Ireland Experiencing Cambridge Summer School. Staying in student accommodation, receiving lectures from world leading professors in their fields and speaking to undergraduate students gave us valuable insights into what life is like at the university and helped us to confirm our decisions about what to study and where. The renowned traditions of Cambridge were presented to us in a variety of ways, including through afternoon tea and a resplendent formal dinner in the college itself. Despite the poor weather, we were able to tour other colleges and different departments such as the Engineering department. This very enjoyable trip was also accompanied by a very useful personal statement and interview workshop in the McCrum Lecture Theatre. Overall it was a great trip and we would recommend it for anyone considering submitting an Oxbridge application!
