At the end of last term Inst welcomed Dr Liz Conlon to assembly to present Angus Harley with the Institute of Physics in Ireland medal for the highest level of achievement in the Northern Ireland Advanced Level Physics Examination 2017. With a score of 600 out of 600 in his A-level Physics examinations Angus achieved first place in the country.
Angus set a precedent for such a remarkable achievement last year when he attained 1st place in Northern Ireland in A Level Mathematics, in spite of being in Year 13.
In addition, Angus achieved 3rd place in Northern Ireland this year in A Level Chemistry.
Angus was presented with his award on his return from his first term at Cambridge University where he’s reading Engineering. It was wonderful for staff and pupils to welcome him back and celebrate his success.
