Over 100 P6 and P7 pupils from Fane Street, Blythfield and Donegall Road came to R.B.A.I. on the 24th April, 2012, to investigate and learn more on the tragic Titanic story, through a number of different activities. With the schools links to Thomas Andrew’s it seemed an appropriate venue to explore different activities designed to develop new skills e.g. Morse code and plotting latitude and longitude on a map, making a newspaper front page using ICT, understanding why ships can float, historical background of the period and through drama. This is a scheme funded through the Irish Ecumenical Trust and NIHE.
