The PE Department, overseen by Mr Peak, ran a three day training camp for pupils from Blythefield, Fane Street and Donegall Road Primary Schools to prepare for an Olympic Event being held in June.
The pupils were involved in four events, rugby, cricket, basketball and hockey which gave the children the opportunity to experience the School’s facilities at Osborne and Shawsbridge before coming into school to use the large gym also. Mr Peak was impressed by the energy and commitment of the pupils from all three Primary Schools; he praised the organisational skills of the staff and the support of the many parents who came to assist and to spectate. In turn, the children, staff and parents involved thoroughly enjoyed the experience and praised the efforts of the PE department led by Mr Peak. The smiles on the faces of all those children who enjoyed their sports training is testament to the fact that the hard work put in by all the staff involved was worthwhile.
