Ben Wylie, outgoing Head of School, has kept the Inst flag flying high. Ben is currently with the Ireland Under 19 cricket 1st X1 at the World Cup in Australia. His outstanding A level results are a credit to him and Ben now goes to St Catharine’s college, Cambridge, to read Classics

The lower sixth AS results build on an excellent GCSE foundation, with a 96% pass rate in a year of increased pupil numbers and increased numbers taking 4 or more AS levels. Alastair Herron has excelled once again with 5 A’s at AS and A* in A2 Mathematics. Samuel Millar achieved 3 A’s at AS and A* in A2 Mathematics.  Seven additional students achieved 4 A’s in AS, Kieran Dologhan, Peter Fitch, John Gilliland, David Long, Philip Morrison, Patrick Nicol and Connor Rankin. Congratulations are also extended to 7 rising mathematic stars who also achieved their A2 in one year – Peter Brangham, Cameron Chambers, Andrew Coulter, Luke Duggan, Luke Hastings, Thomas Matthews and Cory Shen.

I and my colleagues are very pleased with the results and congratulate the boys on their achievements.

Details of the A level and GCSE results will be published on the website at the beginning of the new term.
