On Tuesday, the 9th of September, the 1st XV rugby squad travelled to Shepherd's Lodge. It was an opportunity for a number of new members of the squad to mix in with the team. We found it very useful as it enabled us to work in mini teams in challenges such as; cooking, sharades, etc. We even had the 5th year initiations with James Hume giving us a bit of a jig and Michael Lowry blasting out a few songs. It has helped create a good atmosphere amongst the squad which is extremely important, everyone needs to support and encourage each other, a team building trip such as this helps to encourage confidence with no relevance placed on age or experience.
Overall, it was a great two days, which will surely benefit us throughout the season ahead.
